Williams’ financial career began
in 1979 when he accepted a position
with Principal Financial Group, a company
specializing in total financial services,
executive benefits, estate planning
and business succession planning.
A graduate of North Carolina Central
University and former past president
of the NCCU Foundation Board of Directors,
he is a board member of Triangle ESOP,
a coalition of financial, legal, accounting,
banking, benefits and human resource
specialist that deliver turnkey Employee
Stock Ownership Plan solutions.
Williams is a board member of VISIONS
Inc. a global diversity, multicultural
and inclusion management firm in Boston,
MA. Williams
has strong ties to the Triangle Region
community. By gubernatorial appointment,
he is currently a board member of the
College Foundation of North Carolina
(CFNC) trustees and currently serves
on the Community Advisory Board for
ABC/WTVD-TV in Durham, NC.
A past president of the Durham Chapter,
Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., he gives
credit for significant role modeling
in leadership and community responsibility
to Omega. His membership in the 100
Black Men, Inc. - which has a programmatic
focus on mentoring, economic development,
education, health and wellness - is
a classic example of his connective
role in the community. Williams is a
member of St. Joseph AME Church in Durham,
is a member of the steward board and
holds membership in both the senior
choir and male chorus.

Mr.
Ali is the Senior Vice President of
the NC Institute of Minority Economic
Development (the Institute). The Institute
is a statewide community and economic
development non-profit that focuses
on providing access to capital, access
to contract and access to consulting
for minority and women owned firms.
Mr. Ali is responsible for a team of
managerial and financial technical assistance
consultants, who have advanced education,
training, and other relevant business
experience to support enhancing the
internal controls and capacity of minority
and women owned firms. He leads a Business
Development Team which includes the
Department of Commerce Minority Business
Development Agency NC Minority Business
Center, the Small Business Administration
Women’s Business Center of North
Carolina, and a Financial Education
Department, which focuses on building
financial intelligence of individual
and business owners by providing training
through the Minority Executive Education
Institute.
Mr.
Ali has worked over two decades as a
banker and consultant, providing managerial
and financial technical assistance,
securing millions of dollars in procurement
and contracts for minority businesses
around the state, and a proven catalyst
of capital for minority businesses.
Mr. Ali earned an undergraduate degree
with a concentration in finance from
the Kenan-Flagler School of Business
at the University of North Carolina
at Chapel Hill, a Master of Business
Administration from Campbell University,
and post graduate training for emerging
business markets from Tuck School of
Business at Dartmouth College.

Randal
V. Childs is currently Assistant Vice
Chancellor in the Office of Institutional
Advancement at North Carolina Central
University.
With
over 14 years of software management
and technical professional services
experience with IBM and over 10 years
of fundraising experience, Childs has
a unique set of technical and relationship
building skills that benefit the Office
of Institutional Advancement.
Before
joining the senior administrative staff
at North Carolina Central University,
Childs served as director of development
and internet technology for the Durham
Public Education Network.
As
a volunteer, Childs served two years
as president of the Raleigh-Durham Chapter
of the National Black MBA Association.
Additionally, he is also one of the
founders of the Uplift Project, Inc.
Childs
is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate with a
bachelor’s degree in computer
science from Morehouse College and an
MBA in management and marketing from
Elon University. Childs is a past board
member of the Association of Fundraising
Professionals, and other civic and fraternal
organization in Durham, NC.

Isaac serves as Piedmont’s Chief

Isaac
H. Green has over 25 years of investment
experience. He previously served as
Executive Vice President and Managing
Director of Loomis Sayles’ Value
Equity Management Division. He was named
to this position in 1998, assuming management
responsibility for 25 investment professionals
who managed seven products, with over
$10 billion in assets under management
(as of 12/31/99). Isaac joined Loomis
as a portfolio manager in 1993. In 1995,
he became Managing Partner of Loomis’
Detroit office and was elected a Director
of the firm.
Prior
to joining Loomis, Sayles & Co.,
Isaac served as Senior Vice President
and Director of Investments at NCM Capital
Management. He joined NCM in 1988 as
Director of Research.
Isaac
received his AB in Economics and History
from Duke University, and his MBA in

James
A. Stewart (Jim) is Owner and President
of Stewart Investment Properties, Inc.,
located in Durham, N.C. His firm, founded
in 1997, specializes in commercial real
estate brokerage and investments. He was
born in Durham, graduating from Hillside
High School in 1966.Mr. Stewart earned
a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (1970)
and a MBA (2009), both degrees from N.
C. State University. Prior to becoming
active in real estate, Mr. Stewart was
employed by IBM Corporation serving in
many varied capacities in the telecommunications
industry from engineering to marketing.
He also served for four years on active
duty as an officer in the U.S. Army.
Mr.
Stewart is active with NC State University
and in the Triangle Community. He currently
serves as chairman of the board of directors
of Mechanics and Farmers Bank and its
parent company, M&F Bancorp, Inc.
He also serves as chairman of the Finance
Committee of the Triangle Community
Foundation and as a member of its board,
and also chairs its subsidiary corporation,
Triangle Community Foundations Real
Estate Corporation..Mr. Stewart has
served on the board of the YMCA of the
Triangle and the board of advisors of
the YMCA of Durham. He currently serves
as chairman of the NC State University
Chancellor’s African American
Advisory Council, is a life member of
the NC State Alumni Association, is
a member of the NC State University
Board of Visitors, and a member of both
the Wolfpack Club and the The Leonidas
Lafayette Polk Society giving society.
Mr.
Stewart was initiated into Beta Phi
Chapter of Omega Psi Phi, Inc. on March
11, 1977 and has been an active member
of the chapter since his initiation.

Joseph Henry Yongue was born and reared
In Charlotte, North Carolina graduating
from Second Ward High School. He holds
a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architectural
Engineering from North Carolina A&T
State University and a Master’s
of Business Administration (MBA) from
Iona College with supportive studies
at Duke University and North Carolina
Central University. He also studied
at North Carolina State University School
of Design for a Master of Architecture
Degree.
Mr.
Yongue is a NC Registered Architect,
Licensed Home Inspector, HUD Consultant,
Certified Mold Inspector, and was a
NC licensed as a Lead Based Paint Inspector,
Assessor, and Project Designer. He
has worked in architectural firms in
Greensboro, NC, Alexandria, Va, Washington,
DC, and in New York. He was the Founding
President of NC NOMA (North Carolina
chapter of the National Organization
of Minority Architects).
Mr.
Yongue is a Vietnam Era Veteran having
served in the US Army as a Combat Engineer
being stationed at Fort Bragg, Fort
Leonard Wood, Camp Casey / Korea, and
Fort Belvoir. He
is a musician / trumpeter, having started
professionally since the tenth grade
and financed his college education,
automobile, and apartment living playing
with several R & B and Jazz Groups.
He has played as the backup band to
several well-known entertainers during
the 60’s such as The Temptations,
The Impressions with Curtis Mayfield,
Rufus Thomas, and Theola Kilgore and
was a member of the 1970 Winners of
the US Military All Pacific Entertaining
Tour. He accompany's the religious gospel
and classical music at several local
churches and for weddings. He is a member
at North East Baptist, Durham, NC. He
performs at several “open-mike”
clubs, for parties, and background receptions
as “Josef’s Jazz”.
He
has served with several community organizations
and as an Architect Educational advisor
to Durham Technical Community College
and NC A&T SU School of Architectural
Engineering a Master’s School
of Architectural Graphics and Illustrations.He
took and early retirement from IBM being
granted thirty years of employment as
a Corporate Architect at IBM’s
Corporate Headquarters and at Research
Triangle Park, NC.
He
has been the Owner of his own architectural
firm since 1986 … and is now the
CEO / Principal Architect of Yongue
Architects, PA and Owner of Henry’s
Inspections. After
ten years of study, he developed a Model
for Decision Making called The Yongue
Ten Tenets. His son picked-up on the
philosophy and developed it into a story.

and having a Book Signing tonight is
co-authored by Joseph Henry Yongue I
and Joseph Henry Yongue II.
